Zachary Quinto has been in some really big movies such as Star Trek in 2009, Star Trek Into Darkness in 2013 and a huge list of hit television shows. Quinto was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and grew up just outside Pittsburgh in a town called Green Tree. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama in 1999 and started acting in 2000. He first appeared on a television show called “The Others.” He later had guest appearances on shows like Touched by an Angel, Charmed, CSI, Lizzie McGuire, L.A. Dragnet and Six Feet Under.
I Am Michael
The movie I Am Michael was released on January 24th, 2015 starring James Franco, Zachary Quinto, Emma Roberts and Charlie Carver and is about a gay activist who renounces his homosexuality and becomes a Christian Pastor. It is based off a true story and the premise is about the power of belief and the desire to belong.
Zachary Quinto has always been a supporter of the LGBT community and has supported many organizations such as the Trevor Project, one-night production Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays, Proposition 8 and The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later. After the suicide of gay teenager by the name of Jamey Rodemeyer who died at the age of 14, Quinto realized that living a gay life without publicly acknowledging it is simply not enough and came out in 2011.
