Matthew Staton “Matt” Bomer was born on October 11, 1977 in Webster Groves, Missouri. He attended Klein High School in Spring, Texas and later graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He then moved to New York City and landed a role on All My Children as “Ian Kipling”. He also landed a role on daytime soap opera Guiding Light and worked from 2001 until 2003. Other television shows he has acted in include Relic Hunter, Tru Calling, North Shore, Chuck, Glee and American Horror Story: Freak Show to name a few.

He has also landed many roles in film and acted along side Jodie Foster in a thriller called Flightplan. He has also acted in Magic Mike and Magic Mike XXL, expected to release in 2015, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. He is currently in filming for The Nice Guys.

Matt married his publicist Simon Halls He married Simon Halls in 2011 a year before he came out. The two have three children together, six-year-old twins, Walker and Henry and eight-year-old Kit, . He came out when he thanked his family when accepting an award at the Desert AIDS Project’s Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards in Palm Springs in 2012.
