Thomas Luke Macfarlane was born and raised in London, Ontario, Canada and attended the Lester B. Pearson School for the Arts, then later studied drama at Juilliard in New York City to become an actor. He starred in productions of Romeo & Juliet, Richard III, The School of Night, Blue Window, The Grapes of Wrath, and As You Like It all before graduating from the drama division in 2003. He was born on January 19th, 1980 and has a twin sister Ruth and older sister Rebecca. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California, U.S. and has been acting since 2003.
He was in a movie called Kinsey that was released November 12, 2004, starring Liam Neeson, Laura Linney, Chris O’Donnell, Peter Sarsgaard and Oliver Platt. The movie is about a professor, Alfred Kinsey, who is being interviewed about his sexual history and has flashbacks from his childhood and young-adulthood. Luke Macfarlane played Bruce Kinsey in the movie.
Luke Mcfarlane came out in a 2008 interview with the Canadian Globe and Mail. Macfarlane said:
“I don’t know what will happen professionally … that is the fear, but I guess I can’t really be concerned about what will happen, because it’s my truth. … There is this desire in L.A. to wonder who you are and what’s been blaring for me for the last three years is how can I be most authentic to myself – so this is the first time I am speaking about it in this way.”
It has been reported that Luke Macfarlane has been dating Wentworth Miller since 2007 according to the Perez Hilton in a June 2007 article:
“Wentworth and Luke have been secretly dating for almost six months now,” says an impeccable source close to the pair. “They’ve been very quiet about their relationship, obviously, as Wentworth is not out of the closet.” Things between the pair are so serious that the couple are talking about moving in together, we hear. “They spend a lot of time at each other’s houses,” says our mole. “Wentworth has been pretty reclusive since he’s become famous and he’s been even more of a shut-in since he started dating Luke.” The pair are so close that McFarlane has even accompanied Miller to Asia to film some recent commercials and adverts, our source tells us.
Wentworth Miller and Luke Macfarlane have never confirmed or denied their relationship.
