Christopher Paul “Chris” Colfer is known for his role on the television series Glee, an American musical comedy-drama television series. Glee first aired on May 19th, 2009 and it’s final episode will air on March 20, 2015. He plays the part of Kurt Hammel which is based off of Chris Colfer himself. He originally auditioned for the role of Artie.
Colfer was born in Clovis, California and was born on May 27, 1990. He is an actor, singer, producer, screenwriter and author. When he was in high schools he was the president of the writer’s club, editor of the school literary magazine and a speech and debate champion.
Chris loved writing since a very young age and always wanted to be a storyteller. His grandmother was his biggest fan and began editing, advising and encouraging him in grade school to write a fairy tale-inspired novel, which would later become The Land of Stories. Eventually becoming a New York Times number-one bestselling author with his first book The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell. The book is based off of his childhood love of fairy tales. This follows twins Connor and Alex, who embark on a journey through different adventures meeting familiar characters.
He wrote, produced and starred in his first film Struck by Lightning, debuted at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival. The film is based on a teen who gets his classmates to write for a literary magazine he started to ensure admittance to his dream college.
It’s almost time to say goodbye to Glee. The production for the final season of Glee was cut in half and went from its normal 22 episodes to only 13 episodes. Chris posted to his Instagram yesterday “And that’s a wrap! #Glee #6Seasons #BestCastandCrew #Family” with a photo of an empty room.
