Charles David Lubiniecki better known as Charlie David is a Canadian actor, writer, director, producer and a great storyteller. Charlie David is co-owner of Border2Border Entertainment, a production house of film and television projects, with Derek James and Linda Carter. He was born on August 9th, 1980 in Regina, Saskatchewan and raised in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Canada. David has been out as a gay man in his personal life and career, coming out at the age of 16, and currently lives in Montreal with his partner, Patrick Ware. In 2005 he was honored by Out Magazine as one of the “Out 100 for Remarkable Contributions to Gay Culture“.
He has loved theater all of his life and performed in musical group during high school called Saskatchewan Express, a touring youth show. He later graduated from Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria, British Columbia. He played piano in a boy band he helped co-found called 4Now. The band would later open for acts including Destiny’s Child, The Black Eyed Peas and Pink. He returned to acting and became a show host to shows like Pink TV, EGO, E! Television, NBC, OUTtv, here! TV, and Life Network. He started acting in 2002 in a movie called Holy Terror. He later played Toby, the lead character in the LGBT horror series Dante’s Cove.“When it comes down to it, we’re all storytellers we constantly shape the lives we lead, and which types of characters we elect to share our narrative. I just happen to also be a storyteller for a living,” says David. “I saw the fallacy of not being who I was, as far as we know there’s just this one existence, so why waste this incomprehensible experience on anything other than a daily celebration of who we are?” “I look forward to a time when…being one’s authentic self and loving freely are no longer courageous, but simply common ideals for all people.” David says.
