Sorry, if you’re not keeping up on what’s happening on The Walking Dead because some spoilers will probably pop up down below.

Here is the biggest spoiler. Aaron has a cute boyfriend named Eric! I feel like I’m having a grade school moment. They are super cute though and it’s always a good thing when mainstream shows are able to inject homosexual relationships that aren’t focused solely on being that into a show. What is really great about Aaron and Eric’s relationship on The Walking Dead is that this show is generally known as a manly man straight man’s show.

When you show gay relationships in a show where the focus isn’t solely on that and they are just trying to survive a zombie apocalypse together it really creates an image that these relationships are just the same as any other straight relationship (newflash: which they are) (new newsflash: no, they’re better.)  So how did we get to Eric?

We’ve noticed that Rick is going crazy and is constantly paranoid about everything. This could be a survival tactic or this could end up hurting his chances at survival. This we don’t know yet. Frankly, that can happen after you’ve had to deal with cannibals and the even the dreaded Governor. The help from Aaron and his group seems too good to be true.  Only time will tell.

Rick is still a bit crazy though and thank goodness he was out voted. Even though he still insists on having his way and going down his own forged path and nearly killing everybody and somewhere at the end of the season 5, episode 11 after getting through the drifter roamers or whatever they are called they manage to save Eric.

I think I’m just a little upset though that they didn’t show this rescue really. In a moment it was a little bit like hey Aaron we have your boyfriend so let’s carry on. They have a van and food but I’m just waiting to see more of what will come of this Aaron and Eric relationship and I’m hoping that Rick’s incredulous attitude toward Aaron is not justified.
