If I could describe Johnny Depp as an actor in a handful of words I would say he is charismatic, versatile, clever, and interesting. He dives right into his roles so much so that he makes you forget that the famous actor Johnny Depp is playing the part. For example Tonto – Lone Ranger, Edward Scissorhands, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Mortdecai, and Dark Shadows to name a few.

I love watching and re-watching older movies and shows that Depp has been in, such as 21 Jump Street and Edward Scissorhands. I’m falling in love with his more current movies as well: The Lone Ranger, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Public Enemies. I have had a ManCrush on Johnny Depp since I first saw him in 21 Jump Street.

John Christopher Depp II was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on June 9, 1963. He was raised with three older brothers and sisters. The family moved over 15 times before settling in Miramar, Florida in 1970. Johnny Depp’s wife introduced him to actor Nicolas Cage, where Cage advised Depp to pursue a career in acting.

Was a popular American television show back in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s and was based on a squad of youthful looking undercover police officers that investigated within schools and teenage venues.

Edward Scissorhands

Tim Burton’s movie Edward Scissorhands is an American romantic dark fantasy film that features Johnny Depp as the lead role. Edward, an artificial man who has scissors for hands, is taken in by a suburban family. He later falls in love with their teenage daughter.

Pirates Of The Caribbean (Film Series)

This series of fantasy action films is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. After the success of the first film Walt Disney Pictures decided to create a trilogy. Because of the success of the films they are currently in production for the fifth movie Dead Men Tell No Tales. Johnny Depp plays the main character Jack Sparrow in all five movies. Production began on Dead Men Tell No Tales in Australia on February 17, 2015.

Transcendence (2014)

Wally Pfister directed this science fiction film starring Johnny Depp, Rebecca Hall, Paul Bettany, Kate Mara, Cillian Murphy, Cole Hauser and Morgan Freeman. This sci-fi action film is based on the curiosity of scientist Dr. Will Caster about the nature of consciousness and sentience and artificial intelligence. Dr. Will Caster is attacked by  terrorist group “Revolutionary Independence From Technology” (R.I.F.T.).  Will’s consciousness into the quantum computer by Evelyn Caster played by Rebecca Hall.
